Ready for crazy gas prices?
With gas prices expected to hit an average of $2.27 a gallon (for regular) in the US by the end of March, this means we're probably going to be paying $1 / litre here in Alberta for regular, and us poor bastards will be paying $1.10 for premium.
I mean, I know it costs what it costs to fill your tank, but when we were paying 75 cents for premium, you'd be spending $30 for 40 litres of gas. At $1.10 we're looking at $44.00
I could buy a lot of hookers and liquor with that extra $14.

you must have an "in" on getting hookers or liquor for $14.00 or i don't agree with your choice of women or booze
it seems that over the years gas has risen 10 cents every year. i am not expecting the increase you are mentioning. thank god i drive a company vehicle.
i guess the few miles i put on the S i'll pay the premium, won't like it. maybe won't do any unnecessary driving, really depends on weather and how i feel.

Just got back from Palm Springs...as Dave says, their prices are already that high.
I hope that we don't spend too much time (here in Alberta) complaining about high fuel prices...it hurts, but it also is a significant part of our prosperity...like no sales tax!

The thing is, I don't know how long those U.S. prices have been there. From talking to people down there, it didn't sound like it was a recent increase. It may very well have been up there for quite some time, so I would necessarily worry about it till it happens and even when it happens, there's little we can do about it anyway.
