well it was from 8am-6pm
8am was tech
9-10am was just lecture on driving tips and such
we started driving around 10:30-11am
break around 1:30-2:30pm
Then 2:30-6pm
That's approx~6hrs of driving.
Also, your not constantly driving. In the morning they send you out in groups, and go for intervals of 15min's each
When I went with the Beyond group, it was:
-Beginner group
-Intermediate group
-Advanced group
Each group would go for 15min sessions, so basically you go for 15min's and cool down for 30min's.
In the afternoon they made only 2groups so that ppl could get more runs. So, go for 15min's and cool down for 15min's. It really makes the time fly when your out there. You also gotta watch your tires. They start feeling very slippery after awhile. I'm not sure how your stock S02's are but my tires which are not as good, felt kinda like marshmellows.

It's actually around $4650/day for the beyond track day that I organize. We have 3 instructors out there instead of 1 which jacks the price up slightly. We cap the # of cars to 24, so there's very little traffic out there.
Nobody's making money on it in case you're wondering, last event the morning session was wet, so a few people no showed, and I ended up paying $600 to run all 3 of my cars to cover it up =(.

With 24 cars and the cost for a day as outlined including access to instruction, $200. per seems a good deal to me!
Between Calgary and Edmonton we should see if there are 24 people with cars (any car will do), who can commit and if so pick a date and go for it before it snows -again.
Maybe a no refund deposit approach could work just to ensure all are serious?
