Perhaps you should add more questions from your initial post like:

1. Where are nice tourist places to visit while in Vancouver? Outside of
greater Vancouver area?
2. Where are the nice restaurants to eat for lunch and supper?

Oh on a side note, I've been to Vancouver quite a number of times
and yet have to visit Grouse (sp?) mtn.

I'd recommend Whistler. Awesome place especially, the drive going there.

Agreed.

BobbyS2k, make sure you're in reasonably fit condition if you do the grouse climb. It is a tough ascent but well worth it once you get to the top. Great workout. If you're not looking to do the climb, there is transport up and down the mountain with great views.
shouldn't be a problem. I've hiked up Mt. Fuji last year with no problems

Oh CRAP! Did I miss this one, too?
I've been to Maui many, many times. Where is it?

Dave, it is between Lahaina and Kihei not far from the turn off towards Kahalui (Airport). My kids just loved it and I enjoyed it more than I had expected. Certainly worth seeing...especially for an aquarium enthusiast.

Not sure what "verboten" means but it used to be that radar detectors were illegal in Alberta (the long term AB residents probably know when that changed) and Ontario but I don't recall them ever being a problem in B.C. (they also banned photo radar tickets).
