Default Shaw digital PVR box?

I heard that the Shaw box pushes out 720p for the HD Channels.
Why I ask is my tv is saying that 1920X 1080i is being pushed by my Shaw digital PVR box.

Is there a setting on the shaw box to switch to 720p?
Thanks.

Okay, it is in the manual but:

1) make sure your tv is on and hooked up to the digital box.
2) turn off your digital box and then immediately press the settings button on the digital box remote.
3) this will bring you to a set up screen where you can select the desired resolution output.
4) press the settings button again to exit.

Actually, not really; however, I think 720p looks slightly better.

I never knew that you could do that with the Shaw PVR. I've noticed some pixelation during sport programs at 1080i. Always wondered if 720p would help eliminate that.

If you have an LCD TV they don't do 1080i, they do 720p... so even if the box is 1080i it's converting the signal to 720p automatically.

Changing this setting does nothing.
