Top Down in the Rain
Laughing @ Dave.....
About that wax on the black portion of the bumper, I would simply use a cleaner such as Simple Green which should be more than effective at removing the wax. Once thats done, just re-apply some plastic/vinyl cleaner (not armor-all) to bring back that nice sheen.

Tim,
I suppose you do use dawn to remove wax just prior to Zainoing, but when you get wax on plastic unpainted pieces, I think a squirt or two of an all purpose cleaner usually does the job to get rid of that nasty white residue.

PS-just reread my post....

Ummm...could have been me...I have a red S that's a daily driver, and I rarely put the top up...had some nice refreshing runs about town the past few weeks dodging the big rain storms. I wouldn't even consider putting it up unless it's actually raining hard as opposed to spitting or drizzling (or my wife is in the car). As has been said, not a drop of rain hits driver or passenger when you're moving.
And when you're stopped...well, it's water. (Although it does make nasty little mud pools on the interior bits that are covered in layers of dust from having the top down all the time and never cleaning the inside of the car.)

Sheesh. "I don't drive mine in the rain" IT'S NOT MADE OF SUGAR, IT'S NOT GONNA MELT!!!!!
I swapped cars with one of my customers/friends (In some cases, there's no line to be drawn there) for a weekend. Headed down to Calgary in the rain with the top down. 130ish gets a lot of stares but not much water. Passenger seat inhabitant eventually insisted the top go up because it was cold.

nice, now what is a drop top for?
the young suzuka blue guy in Calgary. Everytime that I see him, even when it is really nice, the top is up. I wonder if he knows where the roof button is
