Warm and sunny for us all weekend. Cooling off at the beginning of next week. Wish I could be out there enjoying it right now. Damn exam Saw a berlina AP2 yesterday evening with the top down out here in the country. Had high style OEM spoiler on the back. Actually looks pretty good on the car.

My car's coming out of storage tomorrow! It's been in pieces getting ready for autocross and using it as a template for making trailer hitches.

I'm anxious to drive it! I'm a little worried about understeer with the stock staggered tire setup and the massive 1-5/16" Gendron front sway bar... We'll see tomorrow.

There will likely be a bunch of S2000s at Speedworld between 12 and 2 on Sunday for autocross pre-season tech. I'll be there around 1 PM.

I ran my AP1 at a test'n'tune last week with the Gendron 30mm bar (set to 3rd from softest setting). Awesome improvement with street tires and no problem with understeer at all. It turned in beautifully, and I could get power down to the rear wheels much sooner than with the stock swaybar.

Went with the Chase Race hitch? I was thinking about getting one of those too.

Yeah, enjoy the understeer with the front bar on. I had the Comptech bar on last year and it definately caused understeer (i ran on streets except for one event, so the bar wasn't even needed). Are you running Hoosiers or the 225/265 710 combo?
That's one of the reasons i decided not to run in stock, because in order to be able to run the fast autocross r-compounds you have to kinda ruin the balance of the car. having to run a big bar on the front to keep the rear tires on the ground is a band-aid solution, but obviously the only solution available in stock class.

Anyway, i'm prepping the car for the ST classes as i believe there will be a place there for S2000's soon.

No, I'm making some that are based loosely on the Chase Race model. It gives much improved exhaust clearance as most aftermarket exhausts hit the Chase one. The first run is just 3 (myself and 2 local friends), if there's enough demand I may consider making more.

We'll be on the 245 Hoosiers all around, though it sounds like it's barely going to be above freezing for our Sunday event...

To fix the street balance issue I'll likely go to non-staggered wheels/tires. I wasn't able to play much on the short drive yesterday as there was sand all over the streets I happened to drive on.

The car goes in for a full autocross alignment tomorrow. It turns out my car had the bare minimum camber that was possible - lame!
