Default Winnipeg Weekend Weather

Here we are at the end of possibly the last great weekend of the season for us Flatliners in Winnipeg.

Saturday was 26 and sunny. Spent most of the day in the S2K.
Sunday was 29+ and partly sunny with a south east wind. Ran a tank of fuel through the car today.

Boy we had a great weekend. Drove out to the beaches, Lunch at Jane and Walters in Sandy Hook, Ice Ceam at Half Moon drive-in with dinner at an outside bar in Charleswood. Couldn't be better. Got lots of nods and waves from other convertables.

We finished the night off with a Sunday nite cruise on Portage with the rest of the cruisers.

Leaving for three weeks to Greece, Italy and France Wednesday. Will likely come back to a very short fall before snow flies. I will be in a real snit if Winnipeg gets the weather we have been missing all summer.

FWIW it has been a lousy summer here. I guess I can't complain, compared to those folks in Alabama and Florida.

Have a great fall!

Sounds like Calgary. I think B.C. was the only province that had a real summer this year. I had my furnace on this weekend.

Hey, yeah, the weather was great in Winnipeg.....just spent the weekend there.......was at the Winnipeg Sports Car Club/WCMA solo 2 at the Red River Ex. Grounds.......driving Rob P.'s '02 S2000!

In fact there were 4 S2000's competing!.....2 from N. Dakota.

Got back to Calgary and damn it was cold!

You lucky bugger. We got snow this morning! The roof and glass on my Merkur were covered with about a wet cm or two!

Welcome back old man winter!

Rob P is a good dude! He is one bad brother who knows how to drive his S. I was learning some stuff from him when I was in Winnipeg last year at Autocross!

Yup, I believe it is Bob that lives in my neighborhood. We occasionally follow each other to work on Waverley St. Kind of like a mini meet.

It is fun to watch your car from another perspective while driving. You see what others see in the S2K.

I completely forgot to check the Winnipeg Sports Car Club calendar for fall events. I missed a couple this summer and it would have been a blast.

Maybe next year.

Yes it was a nice weekend. Too bad i drove like garbage on Sunday's event though. I really enjoyed Saturday's course, it seemed to be more flowing, as Sunday's was just blah, you had to drive like an idiot to post a decent time. It was awesome to drive with Reijo and learn a few different techniques.

Now if i can figure out why my car stalls i would be much happier person.

Thanks for the compliment D'arcy, but Reijo is one bad ASS driver as well.

As for you Bobby, heheh, you should've come out at least once this year. If not, hopefully you can make it out next year. Better yet take the AutoX school, so i can teach you how to drive your car...

Take Care

Not a bad idea about the AutoX school. THAT I would be interested in. . . .

I guess the rest of this year is a wash out but I will check the WEB site again and look for the school info.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I have been out of the country on holidays. Tagged a couple of S2K's in Patras Greece with the S2KI calling card. No PM's as of yet. Not many Honda's in Europe but BMW seems to have the Roadster market well covered. Saw the new Smart Roadster. Looks like it would be a blast on a budget.

I hear I missed a few good driving days here in Wpg., and now I will have to think about parking the S2K for the hibernation to come. WINTER SUCKS!

Bobby
