Default Winter tires with no snow?

I've had my Blizzak WS-50's on for the past month now with one day of snow. Does this eat into the tire wear quicker then with snow on the road?

Thanks!

No, it depends on the temperature, so as long as it's cool out you're ok. If it gets quite warm out, they will wear down in no time, especially the really soft WS-50's.

Of course, if you drive the highway a lot, the tire temps will climb significantly if it's not really cold out. This will wear them down pretty quick, too, but this has never stopped me from travelling where I want to. However, I consider this as simply the cost of "doing business" when you live where we live. I used to swap my snows and summer tires several times over a winter season. It just wasn't worth the time and effort. Now, once they go on the car, they stay on the car till winter is good and over. When they wear out, I just buy new ones.
