If you are changing colors, the best way is to do a "frame off" repaint, where you paint every nook and cranny so none of the old color shows anywhere. This can cost you anywhere from $5000.00 to $10,000.00. Is this worth it to you? It wouldn't be worth it to me.
On the other hand, I'm sure you could go to some sleaze paint shop and they'll do it for you for $399.00. However, you won't like the results. I'll do it for you with a paint roller and a brush for much, much less.

wow lots of cars for sale. Just a curious question, how much is it to repaint the entired car? I seriously really really like the GPW color, but it's rare to see it sold for 2000 or 2001 model.

Should I buy it in another color and repaint the whole car, or is that not worth it?
i Have a 00 GPW

Everything is for sale for the right price

Hahahaha.. Totally true... I guess I'll have to settle for a different color or buy one that is already GPW color....

Have anyone done a color change? Or even an "frame off" like xviper said?
The GPW color change on my s2k was quite extenisive. Everything was painted except the lower part of the engine bay which would have required engine removal(which would have been big $$$)..

But, all door jams, trunk, inside the fuel door and all factory decals were replaced, and the kit was fitted perfect. I rate the work 9.5/10, the only 0.5 remaining is for the lower engine bay not painted(not even visible when the ARC intake is on). If i remembered correctly maranello auto refinishing in calagary painted it and it came out to $8000+kit + tax... If it was my choice, i probably would have went imola orange, or long beach blue pearl on the nsx..
