should drive the car more. using the battery box is getting old, need a battery might as well be an optima, where to buy this:

optima.com says size=51, pn=YEL51

You can get them at 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers. They may have them in stock as well and if they don't it doesn't take long to get it from their warehouse.

Scott bought one for his car this summer, so hopefully he will see this thread and chime in.

i got mine at batteries plus... i've seen them at autozone, checkers, costco, peerless tires, and any battery place.

i had to called around a little:
-every store has a different p/n for the same battery
-optima will resume manufacture of the case size51 next year, they are local

lowest price for me that i found is $135 at batries plus

Picked up one at Auto Zone a few months ago. Not sure of the p/n, but I think it was around $140 out the door and they had it in stock.

i don't think the part numbers matter... optima sells the batteries to other manufactures and they just rebrand them... i would make sure you get the right terminal configurations... there is a 51 and 51R. the difference is the terminals are reversed on the "r"
