the weather couldn't be better for the mountains. It's been snowing pretty good up there and it is predicted to snow on Wed and Thur. I'm sure that the skiing will be pretty good.

Sorry I don't know of any places that you can visit during your visit.
Hope this help alittle

Just what we need... another Texan in Colorado

Seriously, though, it is still early season in Colorado. I don't think Breck has even opened yet, although the weather in the past week has been very conducive to snowmaking, and they have recieved some natural snow as well.

A few areas opened last week, Breck is likely not far behind. Conditions in two weeks will greatly depend on wether it stays cold or gets warm again...

Breck is a fun town.

They ARE getting snow up there...but I think they will NOT be open when you get here. I think they are 8 ? (That can't be right???)weeks away from opening. Also when you do come check out the Breckenridge Brewery. Also in Dillon you can go to the Dam Brewery. But go to this site and see for yourself...http://breckenridge.snow.com/

Insert Foot to Mouth...here is the opening day...November 14, 2003. I warn you there may be some poor coverage so if you are renting gear I suggest the insurance!!!

If the skiing sucks I can show you some BIG rainbows - catch and release of course!

Its snowing here in the mountains, skiing should be fine. Have a ball! If you get bored, post or shoot me a PM - Winter Park may have better snow!

Depends if you have skied before or not...If so then I would stick with that. But if you havent done either then you are in the same boat either way. I would pick snowboarding if the later were the case.
