Default Any S2000s near Bloomington/Normal, IL?

I realize the area isn't too close to any major city (not too far from a few, though) and don't have high hopes for the car scene, but a change might be nice

Also wondering about the climate....I'm a fan of cold and snow, etc. Does central Illinois get a lot of snow and cold weather? How hot does it get during the summer?

I'll probably have more questions once these few get answered....

Thanks!

it gets plenty of snow. just a tad warmer than chicago.

I'm betting snow wont be nearly as entertaining as you think it is.

summer it rarely hits 100 and rarely drops under 65

I live in nearby Champaign, which is about 50 miles east of Bloomington/Normal. I really can't say if we get "a lot of snow" as I'm usually gone during those winter months.

I would agree with moonliver and just add that it gets pretty humid here.

Well, Brad is a bit weird, so it all equals out.

ep3minivan lives down that way too. He has a Silverstone modded up.

Humidity won't be a problem...

And snow...love it! Took a trip up to Buffalo, NY a few years back when they had 83" of snow.....

Only disapponting part is I just traded in my STi (AWD) for my S.....

The lower temps the better...being born and raised in Texas and Oklahoma (110+ degree summers) I hate heat! Plus, I have 'insulation' for colder temps

What are temps like during winter months, say December and January.?

Here's a hint on the temps. they won't register on most themometers.

I have seen -50 in Chicago WITH the "Wind-chill-factor" They have adjusted the calculation so it won't ever be below -20 again, but it's DAMN cold.

It hasn't been THAT cold in several years, and if that nice Global Warming thing everyone has been promising me for years ever gets here it would sure be nice. In the last few years it has gotten below 0 only for a few days in January or Febuary. It snows in March, and even sometimes in April.

One more to add to the crew. We also just added a S14 swapped with the S15 SR20DET to the crew this moth too. Here are some pics of the Bloomington area guys that we roll around with.
