Default Meet and drive on Sunday September 1st?

Yo,

Several people have spoken about possible meets/drives as well as having the new owners join in (Oracle, Sampai, etc.). Since I'm more interested in driving than detailing or looking at other people race , I'd like to propose a drive and get together on Sunday Sep. 1.

General proposal looks like this:

10:00 meet somewhere South of Denver or closer to Colo Springs to accommodate the southern CO owners. This gives folks from Denver / Boulder time to get there w/o having to be up at 6:00 am. Boulder / Denver owners can meet up along the way if desired to caravan to the meeting point (e.g., Boulder area owners meet in Boulder at Dot's Diner parking lot before heading out).

10:30 Go driving somewhere - someone must know some good roads... Stop occasionally along the way for pics, etc.

12:30 Stop for lunch somewhere, ideally not too far from where we started

1:30 Return to home base

Any takers? I'll coordinate is there are.

Sorry but I can't make this one if it's on the 1st going to the denver grand prix. If we can move it to the next week I'll be in.

Looks like the 1st is out due to the Denver Grand Prix. There are two proposed alternatives:

- Monday Sep 2
- Sunday Sep 8

Please reply with with your preference, or "Either" if you can make both dates. I'll keep a running daily tally. The date with the highest count wins.

In the meantime, suggestions for the starting point, drive and lunch spot are welcome. If no one comes from southern CO, we can opt for a Denver / northern Denver drive.

monday would be good, it would finish up a good weekend.
The 8th would also be good. So either day would be good for me.
For a drive we can take boulder cayon or the road that we always take.( I don't remeber what it is but people that have been on past drives should know. I went on 2 of them last year.)
I don't know I just want to meet up and take a good drive.

The 8th would work best, I'll be in L.A. over the labor day weekend.
