Default P1457 code

got this about a mo ago, been ridng the bike tho till today's rain. the err code did not go away on its own, it stayed up a long time till a manual clr today. good to get rid of the err, no fun in the safe mode.

probable cause = EVAP canister & the related system of hoses & valves bad? any idea of most porbable things to ck.

alot of posts to the effect the valve on top of the canaster not working.

I pulled that same code about two weeks ago, after you clear it remove gas cap and then put it back on make sure you get 3-clicks for you need correct pressure in the tank. If you get the code again I'd have it checked by honda... GL

In certain circumstances the cap can cause both. Also over filling it can cause the bypass valve to stick adn will cause either 1456 or 1457. Never fill it past the "click" at the filling station. But you probably already knew that.
