damn everyone is going either s/c or turbo. i need to step up in the game.

scott just curious how much did that set you back? New or used? I like the comptech kit because of the ease and simplicity of installed. Did they fix that bracket fracture problem? I haven't been keeping up with it lately.

Man i can't wait to see it

I got in at the tail end of the HT Guys SC group buy, so it's new and $5k shipped. I've been thinking of doing this for a while now (I got my first S2K in Oct. '99...I guess that's why I'm user #13). Anyway, I'm glad I waited cause I think they have all the bugs worked out by now. Now I just have to figure out where to get it installed. The kit won't be here until the end of the month, so I'm looking at an install time around mid July.

I can do it. I have done 4 Comptech SC's and two Vortec. Look at Mirrors install and see if you like.
May I reccomend a clutch install too? You may need it.

Ahhh . . . the SC. Add the SC to the s2k and you have a head-turner and a neck snapper. Makes a sweet ride even sweeter.

I just got my first s2k not too long ago. Need to drive it more before the SC and/or 4.57 gears go in.

It is really great that there is such a great added performance solution out there for our car.

Congrats and best of luck with yours Scott!

I have found that with the supercharger the stock clutch will not last and cannot hold the power. It is recomended that you do the clutch before or during the SC install since the blower will have to be removed again to do the clutch later making the labor price go up. The Diff upgrade and the flywheel upgrade are also very good mods to do with a blower. Mirror has more seat time but I never had a problem with his when driving, it drives like stock other than the obvious neck snapping low end. Stalling was never an issue.

Well the SC is finally installed and running good. Had a problem the first week when the bolts that hold the secondary pulley to the crank pulley snapped. My car was down for about a week while I ordered new parts from Comptech. Gotta say thanks to Tobi for all his hard work.
