Are you selling for MSRP?

FYI, I just bought my S2K from Empire and they sold it at MSRP, now they did charge an additional $3000, but that was for the Blue Conv. Top, Rear wing and Front Air Dam.

My new blue S2000 just arrived at Jacobs Twin in Chicago. Only problem is finding time to fly out and pick it up. It wasn't supposed to be there for another month. I'm going to have to get creative on that problem. Can't wait to pick it up, break it in, (oh yeah) and get registered. Hope to be doing some things with you guys real soon.

Buy in the Chicago area and ship to here may be the best bet for the best deal on a S2K.

Geezer,
Do you have contact info for where you bought your S2k? What was the waiting list like? I assume you ordered a 2002 model? I have a 2003 on order at Schomp (Jan delivery), but since I travel quite a bit, I don't have any trouble getting a free ticket to Chicago or anywhere else. Any other suggestions based on your research?

I just got back from Chicago. Picked up my blue S2 at Jacobs Twin. Had a fantastic ride back. Everything went as planned. I would highly recomend them.

The drive from Chicago is not bad ... esp. if you take 24 lots of the way. (80 and 70 are pretty boring, imho).

Wondering what you did about the break-in period, where driving at lots of different speeds is supposed to be critical?

I did alot of shifting and played with the cruise control. This is one time I didn't mind going through construction. I also took a lot of stops. It wasn't perfect but I don't think it hurt the break in. Now I'm wondering how I can tell? It seems to be running great to me

I think as long as you didn't cruise for 500 miles at a constant 70mph you'll be fine. Sounds like a lot of cruisin' with a good amount of stop and go thrown in. (Note that I'm no expert here!)
