Default adding metallic flakes

wasup guys. So my front bumper's color match is good enough with the rest of the car, but it seems to be lacking the metallic flakes compared to the rest of the car. can a body shop strip the clear coat and add more flakes to the paint, or do they have to repaint the whole bumper again?

It'll need to be repainted with the proper code paint. You'll need to get the paint code from your vehicle to order the right paint.

It will need to be repainted, the flakes are in the basecoat itself. The paint code is only half the game, a painter will need to visually match the paint (or use one of those high tech paint matching cameras). Silverstone is somewhat tough, plus the bumper is plastic so the metallic flakes may "flop" on the plastic, making your bumper look darker or lighter from certain angles.
