Advice on Robbins Top fix
hi all, my soft top was replaced with a Robbins from the previous owner. I noticed when I bought it that the metal frame was slightly exposed at the front corners with a bit of slack in the fabric. It doesn’t affect the tops performance at all and I was going to bury it under a hardtop anyway. I’ve decided to try and fix it but haven’t been able to find clear install data of the last steps involving wrapping the front edge of the top on to the frame. Can I release the top material from the front of the frame and pull it tighter to cover the exposed metal corner tips? I’m just confused on how it all comes together up front.

I have the same top, and I think the corners have some kind of pocket for the corners. Just retract the top a bit and unscrew the front plate there. You might have to re-rivet the front and maybe pull the top to the corners but I think it’s definitely doable!
