Default AP1 plastic to glass soft top conversion

I have a 2000 ap1 with the plastic rear windshield. The top is torn to hell and windshield is broken almost completely across. Searching for a replacement, I found a new top with glass windshield. I want to know if anyone has done this plastic to glass conversion and if it fits/folds properly. http://www.autoberry.com/details.php...categories_id=

Seems that if it didn't work you would have a straight forward legal case.

TSivilay, What top did you get and did you do the install yourself or have it professionally done? If you got a glass window, did you get the defroster hooked up?

I have a similar question to azs2kDancer's: I'm almost done installing my robbins tope with rear defroster hook up. I just scooped up an 09 CR center console which has the rear defroster switch built into it. I'm pretty sure that there's a way using the OEM hard top wiring harness(es) to set up the rear defroster in plug-n-play fashion. Does anyone know what combination of harnesses I need to order/find (ie part #'s if possible!)in order to do this?

Thanks!

I bought the Robbins vinyl top. It came fully equipped with top straps with an elastic component. This supports the glass perfectly when the top is up. The straps and velcro listings serve to delete the fourth bow, making the glass fold down nicely into the well when the top is down.
