Default APR GT3 Mirror Install

My wife bought me some mirrors for the S2K, so I decided to do a step-by-step install for you guys. I know there's another install page, but I used a slightly different method for the install.

The mounting hardware came pre-mounted, making this process a lot easier.

Remove #1 from #2 with the supplied allen key. Attach #2 to #3, then screw #1 back to #2 to connect everything together.

Here's what it should look like.

Three philips screws and one snap-in bolt attached to the door panel will need to be removed. The window should also be rolled down.

The power control module should pop right off, then remove the power window and mirror harnesses.

I learned the hard way that the handle on the door panel cannot be removed and is not necessary for door panel removal. Posted the pic for reference anyway.

Pop #1 off, #2 comes out with a 12 socket, #3 (4) is philips that hold the speaker in. Remove the speaker and disconnect the harness.

I went ahead and removed the molding that sandwiches the window for ease of access. It should snap right off, but use caution.

I then removed this piece that keeps the window on its track. Once again for ease of access to the bolts holding the mirror.

Nice write up. You left out the part about trying not getting that white/tan sealant from the moisture barrier on everthing.
