i dont really know how well a motorized version would stand up day in and day out and for the amount that it costs, i rather not.

i mostly have it down while i drive and cops mostly dont care, at least in my county...its the stupid parking enforcement that has given me a few tickets before

Got a friend with the motorized unit on his S. He's had it for a while. No issues.

I have the motorized one for about 3 years now with no problem other than changin the battery no issues yet, unless u live a wet climate than rust would be a problem

yep had my motorized one for just about a year and no problems...just put a little lithium grease on the rail so the plate doesn't get stuck (it tended to from time to time at first)

I have the motorized version mounted the same way inside the grill and have cut out the grillcraft grill for the plate to fit in...looks slick

Ya the $130 for the motorized one is WAY too much for something that doesn't look like it would hold up to the elements.... good choice

Thanks buddy, requires lots of hacking, bending, drilling and cuttin shit. its angled because the front will stick out about 1/2 inch when hidden. So it works out looks nice when out even better when tucked in
