Default CR Wing Install On AP1

Hello All, I went to look at a CR yesterday and the dealer gave me a great Price $23,928 for a 2008 CR with 10k miles!!! They where also letting me trade in my 02 Suzuka Blue S2000 with 68k for $9,000 but I am not ready to let my first S2000 go!!!
I decided to just purchase the CR Wing and keep my S2000. So now I am going to share some of my research on the Spoiler and the AP1 even though it is not complete. I welcome anyone else's install photo's of any rear spoiler to help people decided if they want to install a rear spoiler.
Update 5/30/2013 So I picked up the CR Trunk and had it painted and installed, so research is now complete! PS I would like to thank the few members who gave me a hand completing my research!!!

Nice man, are you going to paint it Suzuka to match? Also what are you going to do to reinforce the trunk lid?

Thanks, I went to the Honda dealer and they gave me a parts list that I tried to take a photo of but it did not come out. So when I get a chance I will have someone scan the parts list and I will put it up here. For reinforcement they gave me stronger springs but if you have any info on this please share. Is the CR trunk stiffer then the AP1?

Yeah I did some research a while back and the CR trunk is reinfoced, and that is why most people get the trunk lid along with the wing. I know some people have used different methods to use the CR wing on the OEM trunk. I'll do a little searching about it and post back here.

Okay I do remember that some people just used big washers on the bottom side of the trunk mounts, but I would maybe use some sheet metal on the bottom to help. I guess the trunk will flex if it isn't reinforced somehow. Here is a pretty good thread about the reinforcements and such: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ic=672127&st=0

Do it right the first time and you won't have any issues. Oh, and you should have bought the CR.

LOL, looks like I will be buying the CR trunk!!! I just sold my AP1 rear spoiler because it was Silverstone and I could not find anyone to paint match it. Now I have to paint a trunk... LMAO PS Thanks for the list Vanishing Point . Also is there any fitment issues with the CR Trunk on the AP1?

It will be fine if you just reinforce it still, people run huge spoilers on their stock trunks no problem. Also the outsides of the trunks are identical, only the inside of the CR trunk. Fitment will be the same on either trunk, the CR one is just reinforced underneith.
