Default Disassemble light tail

Hi guys.

This is my first post, I do not know if it's the most appropriate place for this, but here goes...

I wonder if it is possible to disassemble the rear light of my Honda S2000?

You can unmount the plastic headlight? I say this because inside the lighthouse has land and as such wanted to disassemble for cleaning.

Regards.

yes it can, I have to modified it and add led to my AP2 Tails. But to tell you the truth it is not easy and you can risk cracking the lense if you arent carefull. It will take some time and you will heat up the butyl around the tail lights to open it up

Thanks for the reply.

I do not want to switch to AP2.

I just want to clear my tail lights.

How do I remove the tail lights lense?

You can either bake them to soften the glue and pry it open. Or use a heat gun and pry it open as it softens.

Very time consuming and messy job. When resealing make sure it's 100% sealed or you'll get condensation inside.

You sir are WRONG. have you done this first hand? They are NOT fused together. I did a set of oem ap2 and it is for sure bonded like headlight. its just harder to do but definitly doable. I have my ap2 all modded out waiting to get installed once my car goes into the shop. please dont misinform users on here

Im going to attept the ap1 tail lights eventurally.

I do however agree with you on trying on a use set first. The lense is fragile and does take a bit of force/patients to do

Oops, you're right. I was thinking of my Prius tail lights. They're fused together and I cracked one trying to get it apart.

Iam also interested in this as my rear AP2 tail lights have dust and dirt inside the lenses and I would love to clean it out. I was wondering if a good plast of compressed air around the lens would be enough to force it out. If the dirt and sand got in it has to come out somehow...
