yes I trimmed it close to what I wanted when it was soft -- and then sanded and shaped after it was fairly set up.
(figured since I never answered last year I finally give you an answer... better late than never

A sad update.
A truck just lost a re-tread ahead of me...
In traffic with space to swerve.
It not only torn a large hole in the bumper, but it torn this lip protector right off.
second re-tread damage in three months.
LA freeways just suck sometimes.
