Default Front end protection?

I may be getting a black S2ki pretty soon. Besides constant wax/washing what can I do, or buy to prevent the front end from getting chips and scratches all over it from daily use?

Sorry dude, as a fellow Black S2K owner, I can tell you that rock chips are an inevitability. You could consider a 3M clear bra for the front, but personally I never liked how you could actually see it even though it's clear. You could also look into a regular bra for the front which will look absolutely hideous. Just gonna have to deal with them and touch up when necessary.

I have had 3M clear bra put on both my S2000's. First was an 04 SSM in color and now an ABP CR. The clear bra works well, but it not full proof. It can be chipped by stones. It does make "bug juice" removal easier. The line from the bra on the car is not very noticeable on these 2 colors. I would say go for the clear bra. I have had other types on other cars and the removal for washing a drying is a pain.

Clear bra is all about the installer, so pick carefully. Expensive, but better then a yearly paint job.

Washing and waxing won't prevent rock chips which are the biggest problem IMO.

Rio doesn't hide chips (which are black) either.

As a fellow S owner +1. I'd save up for a repaint and not worry about it. The windshield also chips and pits. That said, if you think a clear bra is a suitable preventable measure then by all means go for it. It's not a one-size-fits-all matter

I have a clear bra on mine and notice that it works very well. Easier clean up of bugs etc. like someone else said. Its going to cost you around $400 installed which may sound like a lot buts its cheaper than a front end respray for sure. Also seems that the windshield takes all the damage on these cars. My car has 78k miles on it and im ready to get a new windshield just because of all the tiny pits!

Clear bra saved my front end on so many occasions. Paid $500 or so for full front end protection.
