Front license plate solutions
I have an '06 Laguna Blue, I used the plate holder from Rick's:
http://www.ricks2k.com/products/plateholder.php
I spray painted (rustoleum) it matte black and then put a rubber washer between the plate holder and the bumper, to keep it from scratching the paint.
Sorry no pics, if you're interested in this solution I'd be happy to snap a couple and update the thread.

Back in my Fast and Furious days, I had a Japanese license plate which I simply attached two hinges to which I then mounted to the underside of the bumper. I then put some weight on it so it would only go up above 10 mph. Cost we about $3 from home depot, never broke
Interesting that the plate could create enough lift. Do you have any pics?

You don't mind snap some pic's, whats the benefit of the angle compared to factory?

I don't have any pics as I removed the plate until I have to put it back on.
I did not like the look of something mounted to the bumper, retract, sloped or not. The tow hook one is not too bad for something but it still ruins the lines, IMO. Plus at $60 plus shipping, its a bit steep.
I cut down (folded) the plate down to what is visible behind a plate frame (similar to the "Euro" plate post) and then added a little convex curve. With some bar aluminum stock, contact cement and screws I attached a box reinforcement on the back and bolted it to the black plastic molded piece with a hole in it that sits just off center on the middle horizontal piece in the 'grill'. Mine is an 09- I don't know if other years have the same hole and square molded piece on it like mine.
That way it is as small as possible but still legal (visible from the front) but behind the lines of the bumper; inside the "mouth". I have had no airflow issues at all.

Does like factory when you look from the front - besides the angle?
