That really depends on where you live. In California, it would just give a cop a reason to pull you over and give you $hit. And then you better hope that you don't have anything he can actually get you for at that point.

When I had my AP1 I used a bracket off of a Miata and mounted it to the threaded hole in the black "grill". Looked like it was suppose to be there.

You can also use zip ties. lol

I went 14 years with one car before it was ticketed when parked. I have had the S over 2 and cops have looked at it and let it go by. All the time.
