Default Full Respray

Has anyone gotten a quote or heard of how much a full respray or a quality OEM-level paint job would cost?

Also, on a side note, is Silverstone Metallic paint an acrylic urethane? Or is it a lacquer or an enamel?

It all depends on the shop your getting it done at, and your location. Are you wanting a full color change? or just a re-spray of Silverstone?

Thanks for the move...well, if I got it resprayed I was thinking of the Lexus Black Sapphire Pearl OEM color...I wax mine pretty regularly so my paint still looks pretty good.

Okay well if your wanting to do a full color change, its not going to be cheap at all. You will also want at least most of the engine bay, and door jams, ect done as well. If you dont do those, it just looks like a cheap paint job. That paint sounds pretty expensive as well. For a full color change in that color done right, will most likely cost $7k and up for a quality job. Its not cheap man!

Your best bet would to find a body shop in your area. Make sure you have seen some of their work also, so you know its legit. Then just tell them the color and ask for a quote.

Ouch...yeah I like that color and would love to be unique but I don't know if I'd like it that much! I mean besides the occasional nicks and scratches my paint looks pretty good. The reason I was asking is because I was considering getting a new front bumper, rear bumper, front fenders and (maybe) a hood. I got a quote of $950 for paint and install of front bumper and fenders in SSM. I would think all those parts painted would be around $1500 so I would only want to pay maybe $3000 max if I got a full paint job.

No one in here will be able to accurately give you an idea. As stated above there are too many variables. I have seen complete re-sprays range from $1250 - $20,000+. The best thing you can do is just call around, and ask.

prepare to pay close to 10k if you want a quality job. For shitty job, $1200 will do.

i got a crappy paint job (red to white) from Macco for $1000 including door jams. i used a black gloss spray can for the engine bay and it turned out pretty nice if Macco had actually primed the entire car and had not missed spots it would have looked even nicer lucky the paint job comes with a 5yr warrenty so im about to take it back in and light some @sses on fire for not priming correctly if you want pics let me know
