So my GF woke me up this morning with an awesome call "i know you love your car im so so sorry!" im like shit.. Turns out she smashed the trunk in with the spare tire of her jeep as she backed up. 3rd brake light is toast and the dent is sizable. It seems to only effect the trunk thank goodness. So heres the question, wheres the best place to buy a replacement trunk and brake light. Ebay and craigslist look sparse or too expensive. Should i go Carbon Fiber and get it painted? the oem trunk is so light it seems silly, are there group buys?

 

Try the for sale (classifieds) on this site first. Body panels do come up for sale fairly often. Even if you had to buy a different color and repaint it would be cheaper than a new one.

New, I assume some parts of your existing trunk are re-useable.
