Thumbs down HELP - Looking to purchase S2k, found some rust

Hey guys, I was supposed to buy this car today but I'm having second thoughts.

Some quick info about the car.

2003 SK2 AP1

Georgia cars, 2 owners.

Car fax revealed:

Accident reported
Involving right side impact
It hit another motor vehicle
Moderate damage reported

Date: 12/30/2007

Approx Mileage at the time of the accident: 30,000

Current Mileage: 53,000.

I had it up on a lift (not in person, I'm out of state) and found this:

Bit nervous about the fact that it's mint except on the side it was hit. What do you guys think? Is this cause for backing out, or just an afternoon or two with wirebrushes and por-15?

Car is selling for $12-13,000.

Thanks for the input!

That repair isn't looking good. If you really want that one talk them down a goodbtut in the price and take it to a good shop and have then strip it and redo the undercoat to prevent the rust from becomeing a big issue in a few years time. I'd offer ten, if they take it good if not I'm sure you could find one with out issues for the same price.

haha, I totally agree.

Before I read your post I offered them 10k for it, and they won't go that low so I'll just keep looking.

Cheers,

Thanks. I'm a big fan of them, have been for a while. Finally out of college working full time so I can afford it now. The AP1 is where my heart is, and I'm in love with the grand prix white.

No offense to anyone, but all I can find is the Sebring Gray/Silver and it's not BAD but I don't think it's the best color for the car.

Sigh.
