Default How do you remove decals/vinyl

Not for the S2000, but I thought I would ask here since you guys here have more experience in this regard
I have this used motorcycle fairing that has factory decals or vinyl (I assume?) on the upper half of it, I need to remove it without damaging the paint so it will match my existing fairing set, is there a way to do it? I don't want to repaint the fairing because it will cost more than buying another used one on ebay.
Thanks for help

If its vinyl just leave it out in the sun for a while till its really warm and peel it off.

I'd think Goo Gone or even WD-40 might help. That's what people usually use to remove emblems and decals without harming paint.

heat it up slightly with a hair dryer until you can get your nail imprint in the vinyl and the peel it off...the use goo gone to remove the glue residue...that simple
