Default What is this and how do I remove it?

Previous owner had some sideskirts installed and I didn't like them, remove them to find this super strong adhesive underneath at the front and back ends.
It's on the car really good, I tried tugging but i feel like it might take the paint with it if I pull too hard.
It's slightly squishy, anyone know what it is and how I can safely remove it?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

That looks like urethane adhesive. It's extremely a pain to take off without damaging the paint.

I would bring it to a body shop and see if they could remove it without damaging the paint. Unfortunately there's a chance that those panels may need to be repainted.

This.
Take your time and try and "melt" it off with the above. I'd first try and shave as much off very carefully with a blade (if you have a steady hand). Then heat gun with goo gone. LOTS of it.
Brutal.

Try the heat/scrape off with plastic instruments. Then try MEK. Let it soak in. Pry up the edges and dribble a little more on.

I'll tell you right now heats not going to do jack to that, that is more or less liquid nails. Construction grade adhesive.
