How much to fix it?
i found a 2005 Scion TC, auto, clean title and has 93k odo for around 5
the catch is that the car took a beating i guess and it requires only body work, the guy already bought the parts that needs replacing, which are the front fender and the 3 piece roof, the car drives normal according to him
from the pics i can tell that these parts needs work: right door, left quarter panel above the wheel arc and above the back window and maybe some on the pillar near the moon roof
do you know how much will it cost to fix it? I'm going to see it tomorrow and take better pics of the car

I'll give you my personal opinion on the situation.
1. I don't know how much it will cost exactly but I will assume at least $500-700 for a good repair based on the pictures
2. Scion tC sucks ass, the 2nd gen with new tail/head lights is so so
3. Worst gas mileage than civic
4. Auto? T_T I understand it's gonna be a daily but still
5. I'll pass, not worth the hassle for 93K on the odo, not a Honda

The Tc doesnt suck ass lol. i had one and it was a great little car. I got pretty good gas mileage and never had a problem with mine. Kept it til it reached 105k and then i sold it for the s2k. i know of people who have reached 200k and still doing great.
The only thing i agree on is the slow automatic transmission.
I recently sold my scion tc 2007/ 102k miles all I've done as far as maintenance was:
-spark plugs
-MTF
-Tires
-Brakes
I still felt the car was new still had a new car smell. I feel I could drive it anywhere with out any issues at all. Yes, gas mileage does suck but it isn't horrible. I really like the car for what it is. I do miss it, but no point in my wife and I having 3 vehicles.
Also, I was involved in a hit and run in a campus parking lot. My rear quarter panel was replaced with oem and rear bumper needed respray. Cost around little over $2k.
Although, it is a solid car. I would skip it and look elsewhere.

My friend has a Scion TC he bought new and put over 100k on. Originally he was commuting from PA to NY everyday and now he drives it in NYC. I don't think he's had any problems, and he actually ran over a ladder that fell of a truck on the turnpike doing 70. No damage to the car and still running fine. From all this, I get the impression that the TC is built pretty well. I don't know that his TC will outlast my Civic... but it's still up there in reliability.
