I am missing the center black piece showing in this photo. Is this unique to the European models? I do not recall having it on my 2005 and now on my 2008?

Yours is a facelift AP2,the one in the photo is AP1

 

Not surprising since both your 2004 and 2008 are the same generation. 2004 and later are "facelifts" outside of North America with different front and rear bumpers than 2000-2003 models (called AP1 in North America).

Gotcha, appreciate your response, it was driving me crazy thinking that I have non OEM bumpers, relief . . .
