Painting Wheels Instead of Powdercoat

Can wheels be painted by a body shop instead of powder coating? Im just wondering if this is a viable option. I want to avoid powder coating. Thanks.

Yeah why not? I painted my wheels in silverstone and they look awesome. As long as the body shop preps and doesnt use cheap paint, it should be durable and not chip.
