Default Park under the sun or under the tree?

My S2000 is a DD. Everyday when I get to work, I always have a hard time decided whether I should park my car under the sun or under the tree. I know the sun is bad for the paint and also carbon fiber parts on my car, however, parking under the tree will get you the sap from the tree and sometimes bird poo.

Which of the two elements - sun or tree sap/bird poo - is worse for the paint and the clearcoat of CF parts?

I am in the same boat. I park under a tree and clean any bird poop when I get home. And wash the car every 4 to 5 days

I would say park under the tree bc you can always clean any sap/poo but sun damage is a little harder to reverse! Might be a different story for extended periods of time...

I'm the same, I wash and wax my car weekly to keep the paint looking new. I have a car cover and could throw/keep it in the trunk but I kind of feel like a tool to use it at work.

I actually used my car cover last night because I'm tried of cleaning the car to wake up to water spots from the sprinkles. I have in my trunk now and once I get my new soft top put on this week I'll use it at work as well to preserve the top and from it getting sun beaten as well as the paint. Surprisingly the top really doesn't take up much room in the trunk.
