Absolutely. Meet up with some other S owners or peruse existing threads. Everyone has chips on their front bumper cover and windshield.

Subforums exist for a reason. Do not post in a different subforum just for more traffic -- regardless of the forum site. If everyone did what you did then there would be no point in having any subforums.

My 01 was pelted with chips even with only 35k miles on it. Even my 06 with 10k miles on it has some chips on it. I can't avoid them. Even the top of hood and the gas lid each have a chip on it as well. My girlfriend's Cobalt that gets beaten on the highway, and in brutal winter with 50k miles has virtually no chips on it. I think it's combination of thin paint, and the aerodynamics. Honda in general has pretty lousy paint IMO, and I don't think they did anything special for the S2K, so it makes sense. We just gotta live with it, or get a clear bra after a respray.

Clear bra works against chipping. Glad I got
It. Will get another one once this one starts cracking or turning yellow.

The idea of putting a clear bra on the front of my car kinda makes me cringe. I would almost rather have the chips... almost

Has anyone else found this to be the case? I love my car and want it to look perfect, but it's looking like I'll need to repaint the whole front end to come close to achieving that.
I have a '08 LBP S2000 and I also agree that the paint is too thin to the point that it scratches and chips too easily. I do not have this problem on my 93 Acura. Does anyone else feel that the paint job is bogus ? It looks great, but if you look at it too hard the paint just seems to chip. Anyone else care to chime in ?

I'm glad I clear bra'd my front end.

Yes, Honda paint is super thin.I remember spraying some gpw for the first time. It was like water.

Dr color chip seems to work fairly well to fix the chips.

My LBP is polka dot now, too. It saddens me every time I dry the car after washing it. I'm pondering a front-half paint job + full hood & front fender clear bra. But that's $$$. Ugh.

I have a fair amount of small chips in my bumper. When I bought it the windshield was completely speckled too. I had it replaced as part of the deal. Original owner must have been a tailgater. But my fenders and hood are holding up great - hardly a mark. A Suzuka thing?

I noticed that after I put my Mugen rep splitter on, that I don't get any chips no where as before...
guessing that the mugen design helps stop, particularly front end chipping.
