Putting ap2 bumper on a ap1

Default Putting ap2 bumper on a ap1

I heard putting this bumper on a ap1 u have to knotch out something from the front end to prevent the bumper from stretching and getting spider web cracks. Anyone
Know what has to be done? Thanks

Yes, for the front bumper the edges of the crash bar (the big beam with the foam on it behind the bumper) need to be trimmed some. It isn't necessary but a lot of people that don't trim it get spider cracks in those spots since the bumper is up against the beam, and the vibration over time in those points will cause the paint to start cracking. All you have to do is get a grinder and grind the corners down on the beam, or just cut the corners off.

^ like he said, would def recommend shaving off the edges of the big beam both corners. Buddy of mine didnt do it and had some cracking issues, i did it on my ap1 now that has the ap2 conversion and have not gotten on issues

Did this recently as well, I did not use the foam when I installed mine. It's sits really flush
