Rear Spoiler from Ebay . . .
Having visited the dealer, and believe it or not, he found me an OEM rear spoiler in my car's color code, only challenge was the price, aprpx. $650, which I assume was the FULL retail price, I believe that this is quite rich and somewhat unattainable.
I have looked at other options, including e-bay, this is a link to the item I found https://www.ebay.com/itm/37305791971...UAAOSwqfNXldUY . . .A few questions:
- Has any one ordered this item, how was the quality of the product and paint?
- Any other reliable and respected source for the same spoiler that you can share?
- Can this spoiler (sourced from the dealer or e-bay) be installed using automotive 3M double tape, not too keen on drilling any holes in my trunk for a spoiler.
Appreciate your input in advance.
Cheers.

This (or very similar) spoiler has been on my car the past the past 8 years. Not sure how I'd get it off if I needed to, the included tape holds it tight. Perfect color match to my Silverstone. I bought this 'cuz I didn't want to drill holes in the car to mount the OEM version.

HI , Had amazing results with Ebay OEM style rear spoiler from xpert-tuning pre painted my car is silverstone NH630m paint match was perfect
only thing go buy 3m body tape to install, tape that comes with it is not 3m and for 82$ you can't go wrong looks OEM and no drilling.
I was so skeptical but took a shot for 80 bucks MONEY WELL SPENT . perfect fit i would assume there all made by same company
the cost is cheap enough that if you hated it resell it for a small loss and move on don't over think it .BTW to remove use fishing line
carefully saw it off .and use an adhesive remover .

Yes, thats probably the way to go. I cannot see myself spending close to $700 on an OEM item when a replica will do very nicely, it will also not impact the resale value one bit. I might just try and order another front lip, to me it is more important that those are OEM. Appreciate the valuable feedback guys and gals.
The "problem" with the front lower spoiler is stone chips, speed bumps, and curbs in parking lots. The OEM spoilers are selling for several hundred dollars and are darn near irreplaceable. The reproductions are expendable or sacrificial -- pull too far into a parking place and just get another one. I worry about my OEM spoiler all the time.
I've never seen any data indicating any of these spoilers do anything functional -- look good on the car but do they do anything useful? Rear spoilers on other cars certainly spoil the view in the rear view mirror as I'm certain the CR spoiler does as well. As for mounting I have a set of color matched OEM side strakes still setting in the Honda box waiting installation for the past few years. The thought of drilling holes in the body keeps pushing this back. The front lower spoiler mounted in factory holes and the rear with 3M tape -- no extra holes.

Yes, one reason why I have not considered these side strakes, NOT drilling holes into the body, and I have read abut other members losing them on the highway, perhaps they hit something when they were not looking. One other factor, the cost is something else.
As to the looks of the car, I am 50/50 on whether the OEM lip improve the looks of the AP2, I think the car looks a lot cleaner without it. I though is was a miracle to have the dealer be able to find an OEM and I though it would not hurt. I am going to try for another one and see!!!!
