Default Rocker panel repair panels?

I recently purchased an AP1 that was in great condition other than a nice dent in each rocker panel where some dummy tried to jack the car up improperly. It's not seriously damaged, but unpleasant to look at. I took it to a body shop and they estimated 10hrs of labor plus materials to repair/repaint them. (~$1,000) As many S2000's have bumped the curb, I hoped to find some patch panels or covers, but no luck so far. The fancy aftermarket side skirts won't work for me since we use it for SCCA autocross and they're not legal for our class.

Has anyone run across something like this? If not, I plan to stop by a local sheet metal shop and have them bend me a couple of aluminum cover plates that I can paint, then attach with adhesives.

Thanks!

My advice is to spend the $1,000 and get it fixed. You own an S2000.. this is not a Honda Civic. If you can't afford/justify to keep this car in proper shape you honestly shouldn't own one.

The rockers on my car are pretty beat up as well. It appears that one of the previous owners bottomed it out, and it caused a nice dent in the bottom of each fender.

At some point the car will be going into my dad's body shop to have all the poorly repaired hail damage correctly repaired, and will have the rockers repaired as well. I would pay to have it properly repaired.
