So I have a scratch...
Coming out of the grocery store I was thrilled to find that someone helped add some character to my NFR. The first estimate I have gotten was from the "best" (expensive) place in town for 850 to sand, prime, repsray the whole panel along with blending. That is insurance filing money to me, under my comprehensive policy but it seems a little silly to go through all that for a scratch. I will keep getting other estimates, but I am posting here in hopes that someone may have some advice or possible fixes. It doesn't have to be show room perfect, it is a daily driven car, but it needs a solution. Do any of the scratch repair kits actually work? Thanks in advance!

Wow that sucks. Some people are just plain A--holes!
Anyways, looks pretty deep, probably a key and if so, I imagine that it's through the paint. If that's the case, there's no fix other than a respray. Perhaps you could touch it up with paint stick etc. but it wont be near perfect. If it's a DD though, I would pay $850 for one panel. That's just insane.

Right. I am going to see what other quotes come out to, but it kills me. The car had a full body respray and it is all Sikkens Aerospace grade paint. I don't want to half ass a repair job on that incredible paint.
My newest idea is that if i can get someone willing to freehand in a color matched touchup and then wetsand it will be livable and allow me to keep the rest of the panel in it's current high quality paint.
