The soft top on my 99 s2k is slightly torn on the 2 hinge points. Question is can these be repaired or is it a replacement roof only??

A new roof from Honda is €1815 supplied only, trade price!!!!! I'm a mechanic myself so it shouldn't be too hard to do myself but there's a company in Dublin supplying and fitting after market soft tops for €1050 in vinyl with a plastic screen and €1245 for mohair (not sure of spelling) with a glass screen. Is mohair worth the extra??? Is it worth paying extra for the genuine Honda??? Is a glass rear screen much better???

 

im not too sure about the money conversion, but;
If the tears are more than 1 inch long your are pratically out of luck, especially given it is a 99 origional top. I would highly advise getting a new top. Do NOT get a OEM top, order yourself a Robins or EZ-ON top. Be sure to get the oem style material and do youself a favor and get the glass window conversion.
