Has anyone Contemplated removing the Trunk and the convertible top to create a true "Fast Back" from the Spoon Top? I have a 2005 S2000 in very good shape but it's a SALVAGE title cuz it was stolen in TX ten years ago, recovered & repaired w a new top, seats and new bumper. Bone stock otherwise, 92K miles on it. I mean Delete them! and create a large flat trunk space behind the seats for the dog, luggage and a stereo upgrade.
I'd like to take BOTH the wife and the dog on trips... and they won't FIT in the S2K, so I've been thinking of modding the backend to turn it into a "true Fastback" like a BMW M Coupe, or a MGB GT both cars that look awesome, right!? Since the Spoon top comes all the way down to the back edge of the trunk, there's only a little several inches that sticks out on the sides.
I know that this would be an expensive proposition but with the price escalation of the S2K it would make my car a unique custom car, so the "salvage title" wouldn't be an issue (so much?) Would almost pay for itself..?
Has anyone you know of Done this?

Interesting, complex, unique, and expensive. And I doubt it will be worth any more than it is now especially since some, like me, will not consider buying a buggered custom car.. Don't forget it's only worth what you can sell it for. Appears you want a BRZ...
Think you’ll have some structural stuff in the way of the “trunk” space you’re wanting to create. Unless it’s just going to be a small shelf like the space over the engine cover on an NSX
