I daily my S. Every spring I take it to a car wash where they put it up on a rack and steam the chassis with a power washer. This year I noticed that some of the black undercoating in the wheel well came off exposing some white paint. What should I paint it back with? What do you guys recommend?

 

i exclusively use top quality rubberized rocker guard. I respray the wheel wells about every year or so. Available at auto parts stores- in Canada at least.

Agreed. Use a rubberized paint guard. Any auto parts store will sell underbody and wheel well spec coating in spray cans.

 

I've used Wurth stone guard and will recommend it. Porsche guys use the SKS version to match the factory finish but on my cars I use the rattle can since finish doesn't really matter to me.

One caution before applying your undercoat, make sure the area you are spraying is clean/dry and free of any rust. Otherwise you are making a perfect place for rust to exist.
