Default Using Plastidip to paint emblem

Someone in the Lexus forum used Plasti dip to paint there emblem flat black. I thought this was pretty cool. Has anyone tried this yet?

Whoa thats pretty cool. I would be scared as hell to do that on my nice paint, but it looks like it works pretty well!

According to that thread and Plasti dip you don't even have to take your emblem off. Just mask whatever you are painting and paint it on. It's not even permanent. If you decide you don't like that look anymore you can just pill it off.

I attempted about 3 times a month or two ago, just couldnt get it on evenly on the sides, it may have just been way too humid and hot here at the time. It did peel off really easily every time though. I just got some nice semigloss black enamel and called it a day after the last peel.

This knucklehead did his wheels.

This might be a good solution for going back to black around the windshield.

From what I heard this material is like the material used on the handles of the pliers. It's super durable and strong. I might have to try this and see.
