Default Why montecarlo blue looks so different on some?

Hey everyone Im tearing down my S2000 and building a true street drag setup, but newho its gonna be pretty much gutted and getting a cage so I figure nows the time to paint it. I've always liked the pics I see of the japanese and euro S2000s in montecarlo blue. But why do some look so much darker than others??? I really like thre very deep dark ones I see usaully factory pics from japan but alot of the american ones painted I see turn out alot brighter and I dont like nearly as much???
Anyone no why this is Im gonna be really pissed if I sepnd all the money and it comes out a brighter blue than Im going for...
Any insite would be greatly appricaited

Something ive noticed aswell but never known why.....

I would have thought it to be down to the wax/polish that people are using...

I imagine lighting would also play a part in the color variance. My Apex blue pearl CR looks "washed out" on bright cloudless days, yet looks very dark in low light/ street lighting situations.

Monte Carlo blue photographs much darker than it appears in natural light. There was an NSX meet in my area years ago and a couple of Monte Carlo cars were there. I checked out a thread on nsxprime.com about the event after the fact, and was surprised how much darker the color looked in the photos compared to what I had seen in person. Still a beautiful color.

I want dark : ( and the closest other color for the deep dark blue (without looking like navy blue) is the newer fit's blue sensation pearl.... I have a 00' silverstone with the red seats, carpet, and door panals, and alot of ppl dont agree but i think looks amazing with monte carlo blue exterior!!! (or some other dark blue variant)

Same with the suzuka blue s2000. in the night it looks kinda dark and glowy as during the day in the sunlight looks likea baby blue.
