Default Will The OEM Hardtop Latch Work On Softops?

Hey, Broke the driver's side latch a few months ago but it is still usuable and last week I broke the passenger one and its now stuck in the locked posistion. So I ordered two new latches and got them then realized that they are for the hardtops. My question is are they going to work for my soft top or not?

I work at a Honda Dealership and the parts guy told me that those were the only latches he could find saying the parts number is the same for soft/hard top.

Thanks.
