Not sure why people do it or if it's good for protecting the original paint. - Can anyone share their experience with getting a car "wrapped"?

 

Usually cheaper than repainting a car if you want a different color and much easier to go back to original color. The clear wrap is to protect the paint and is different than the different colored wraps though I suppose the different colors still provide some protection.
