Default 17x10 +50 Alignment Specs

Hey Guys!

Just got my car aligned this morning. My current suspension mods are coilovers and buddy club ball joint/rear camber kit. Yes, I know how jacked these mods made my alignment haha

I orders the Evasive Spec 17x10 +50 Advan RSII for track wheels and I don't have tires for them yet, but planning on 255/40.

My current alignment is set for DD with stock AP2 wheels and Michelin PSS 215/245 F/R

Will my current alignment accommodate my track wheel/tire setup with rolled/slightly pulled fenders front and rear? Have I screwed myself by getting a track wheel/tire combo that is really best suited for a dedicated/aggressive track alignment? Im hoping to keep these alignment specs as my car is mostly a DD with 5-8 track days a year.

Thanks!

You would probably need a bit of a pull up front / the rear a roll at minimum, maybe a cut with a tab relocation. This should work F 2.0 / R. 3.0. Good luck.

I highly doubt those are fitting at -2.0 front camber unless you pull (not just roll) the fenders. I'm at -3.0 on rolled fenders, 255 tires 17x9+47 and I rub a little in opposite lock. You'll be sticking out another 9 mm farther than I do at the wheel. You can try it and see but it's going to be close.

I think you'll want some of your negative front camber back. I'd ask for -2.5 to -3 up front. Might lose some rear toe, I like about half what they gave you.

FWIW I run -3/-2 camber on my street/track FD with minimal toe, it's not that big a deal on treadwear.

There is a set for sale in the classifieds by JCCs2k, hopefully he doesn't mind me posting this pic as a great example. As mentioned, you are going to need quite a bit more negative camber in front than your current setting. Probably need a slight pull in the front as well.

Thanks for the replies fellas! Here is an image of the terrible pull the previous owner did with a potato (or equivalent tool). I'm thinking this will be adequate for the wheels after looking at the pictures above.

LOL. Not exactly a clean job but it does help with this wheel fitment. I'd still recommend a little more negative camber in front though (-1.5 to -2.0), just for overall handling performance. Do you have a stiffer front sway bar?

There isn't any reason to run such a big difference in camber front/rear, unless you are trying to reduce oversteer with a non-staggered tire fitment. A more balanced alignment and stiffer front sway would be a better option though.

Good luck, should be a nice setup.

Thanks! Once I get the wheels fitted, I'm going to get the fenders looked at by a body shop to see if they are salvageable. I agree that the an extra .5-1 degree of negative camber wont kill tire longevity as long as toe doesnt change. I don't have a stiffer front bar, but I am strongly considering the Moddiction (if available again) or 32mm Cusco bar (or something similar).

The current setup is for my stock wheel/tire combo because I don't have the tires on the Advans yet. I also wanted to establish a baseline for my alignment specs as they were so out of whack because of the suspension mods.

I have the same wheel with 255s.

-2 front with very aggressive roll & pulling and its still at least a couple mm from ideal
-1.5 rear with roll/pull/tab relocated and its at least 5mm from ideal.

Good luck out there.
