Thumbs up 90% daily 10% track ?

Hey, I have done some extensive researching in the suspension forum and have looked at pretty much all the available coilovers for the S2. I am in the market for a set of coilovers but havent got into the track seen at all but would like to throw my car out there sometimes . I think I am pretty set on the KWV3s because I heard they were great for daily and for track. But I was wondering, do I need that extra rebound and compression adjustability if im not a track "whore" and dont really know what im doing? Or should I just get a set of KWV2s or something else that doesnt have that extra adjustability?

You should drive on what you have until you know the answer to your question. Having more knobs to turn will only give you more rope to hang yourself with for your first several outings.

Stock suspension should be sufficient

For what it's worth, my friend had a set of kwv3s on his daily, professionally adjusted by someone else. It felt amazing, compared to my oem setup (full discloser: he had non-stagger, too).

So i guess if you do get them, you could just have someone else set it up for you, and then not mess with them.

But different peoples' definitions of amazing differ. My autocross codriver likes a looser car than I do -- if he sets up the car to his liking, I find it too hairy in transitions, and if I set up the car to my liking, he finds it too pushy.

The original poster is new to tracking -- it's not clear if he's ever turned a wheel in anger or even knows what understeer or oversteer is. It's way too early for him to be modifying his car.

P.S. - It's spelled "disclosure".

stock suspension is good enough for what you're looking for

Some aftermarket coilover systems come BNIB with the 'recommended' settings dialed in. Doesn't guarantee it'll work for you, but they're usually a good reference point.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm planning on getting them. I have a reputable shop to do the adjusting and all that. Because I want to drop the car and I want to do it right the first time around. That is why I don't want to stay with stock.

I have an '06 and track since then. I want KW V3 too but before that I got Harddog Rollbars, Cobalt Pads, Toyo R888 on extra set of AP2 v2 and lot of seat time. If you got $$ go for it. KW V3 is the right one for my budget too.
